James Holdman is a musician, composer and educator living in Minneapolis, MN. He performs several genres of music on a number of instruments (fretted strings and percussion), and composes for a variety of ensembles. His compositions are influenced by world music, American popular music and post-tonal art music. Holdman teaches on the faculty of Inver Hills Community College, Inver Grove Heights, MN, and has taught at Indiana University East, the University of Minnesota, and the Art Institutes International Minnesota.
